If you are an Alberta start up or small company needing to develop, learn, and adopt business skills and practices, you may qualify for a 75% non-repayable grant of up to $50,000 toward Service Provider fees.
Financial support is available to develop business skills in areas such as:
- Entrepreneurial coaching
- Strategic planning and mapping of programs & tactics to strategy
- HR management and development
- Project management
- Risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Supply chain management
- Go to market techniques and opportunity assessments
- Promotion, communication and branding strategies
- Intellectual property management
- Financing options and exit strategies
- Sales Mentorship
- Other skills & practices important to commercialization success
To be considered for funding
A company must be:
- A for-profit company
- Incorporated and operating in Alberta
- Minimum of one and no more than 50 full-time employees
- Annual sales revenue ordinarily not exceeding $5 million
- Primary business of the company must be the development and commercialization of geospatial technology
Funding Amount:
- Up to a maximum of $50,000 towards eligible costs
- Paid to approved Service Providers, either referred by TECTERRA or identified by the applicant
- 75% of funds provided are a non-repayable grant. Payback of 25% takes place at project completion
