Nexteq Navigation Corp. (Calgary, AB)
Led by Dr. Yang Gao, Nexteq Navigation created a novel platform for precise point positioning targeting terrestrial users at a lower price point than existing competition. In 2014 they successfully exited through a sale to UniStrong Science & Technology Co, today Nexteq staff are still hard at work in Calgary.
Trusted Positioning Inc. (Calgary, AB)
Lead by CEO Chris Goodall, Trusted Positioning started as a University of Calgary spin-off from the Department of Geomatics Engineering. They created unique algorithms for sensor integration in GPS denied areas utilized in machine control and mobile devices. In 2014, they successfully exited through a sale to US-based InvenSense. Operating now as InvenSense Canada, the TPI team continues to push the boundaries of navigation technology.

3V Geomatics (Vancouver, BC)
Located in Vancouver, BC, 3vG is an Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar company using satellite technology to provide near-real time subsidence monitoring for oil and gas companies. This year they have added four new team members. 3vG continues to expand their reach through Canada, the USA, and internationally.

Decisive Farming (Irricana, AB)
Decisive Farming launched an ambitious project to update their myFarmManger platform with scalable geospatial technology for prescription agriculture. They brought the year-long project to a successful close while staying within 7% of their budget and one month of their original timeline.
GREATEST GROWTH IN REVENUE
Blackline GPS Inc. (Calgary, AB)
This year Blackline GPS launched their Loner Bridge product, a connected Safety device for lone workers in dangerous situations. They grew the company 153% including nearly $2M in sales for Q1 of 2015 alone. Blackline GPS is now expanding into Europe and beyond.

Baseband Technologies Inc. (Calgary, AB)
Calgary based company Baseband Technologies provides an ultra low power GPS solution for wearable technologies and IOT companies. Their software saves on battery power while providing critical positioning information.
Blackline GPS Inc. (Calgary, AB)
Blacklines’ Loner Bridge system has helped connect lone workers in industries such as utilities, oil and gas, and beyond. Their 24/7 Safety Operations Center provides immediate call outs any time a worker’s device alarms giving employers the ability to manage an efficient emergency response to a worker's precise location.
Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc. (Sudbury, ON)
Sudbury-based Caracle Creek launched the MyMAPS platform, a geospatial resource for mining claim management and compliance. MyMaps has the flexibility to support a wide variety of applications, business models and regulatory frameworks and is fully customizable to best support any resource business.
Decisive Farming Corp. (Irricana, AB)
Based in Irricana, Alberta, Decisive Farming brings geospatial technology into the agriculture industry. This year they’ve expanded their reach by partnering with large equipment dealers, land evaluation services, and carbon credit organizations.
DMTI Spatial Inc. (Markham, ON)
DMTI Spatial, a member of the Neopost group, is the Canadian market leader in location based information and data quality. For almost 20 years, DMTI Spatial has been providing industry leading location economics and Master Address Management (MAM) solutions to Global 2000 companies and government agencies
GLOC8 Technologies Inc. (Ottawa, ON)
G-LOC8 Technologies develops solutions that enable organizations to monitor and manage mobile assets. Currently they are working to improve logistics and transportation in Kenya and Tanzania with their geospatial based cargo locking and tracking devices.
Osprey Informatics Inc. (Calgary, AB)
Osprey Informatics provides intelligent visual monitoring for oil and gas operations. Their cloud-based platform, Osprey Reach and Osprey Identify, transform video and images into actionable information, helping customers operate more efficiently.
Spatialytics Solutions Inc. (Quebec, QC)
Quebec-based Spatialytics has created a Location Analytics SaaS Platform that integrates data from any sources to provide a unified global view. They help organizations gain insights into their business, accelerate and facilitate decision making, and boost overall performance.
Symboticware Inc. (Sudbury, ON)
Symboticware provides ruggedized hardware and software solutions for real-time gathering, transmission and analysis of mine safety operations. Their mining subsidence monitoring tool helps companies manage their long-term environmental impact.
Synodon Inc. (Edmonton, AB)
Synodon is an airbone leak detection company providing specialized remote sensing services to oil and gas, and pipeline companies. Their leak detection system provides critical information to assist companies in protecting the environment.
Troo Corp. (Ottawa, ON)
Ottawa-based Troo Corp. provides M2M Location Intelligence PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) Solutions for asset tracking and monitoring to customers in over 50 countries. Applications rage from aviation tracking to emergency response dispatch, forest fire fighting, trucking & trailer fleet management and stolen vehicle recovery.
