Jonathan Neufeld, Interim Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Jonathan Neufeld, P.Eng., joined TECTERRA in 2011 with the task of creating a world-leading Geomatics Lab facility and training program. As a result the Geomatics Lab has been able to assist hundreds of companies across Canada to test and develop new technology. In 2013 he took on the role of Director, Commercialization Programs where he provides direction and leadership in the definition, execution and management of TECTERRA’s investment and funding programs. He received his B.Sc in Geomatics Engineering, from the University of Calgary and recently completed an MBA through the Haskayne School of Business.
Gordon Banting, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Gordon Banting, CMA, Mr. Banting brings with him more than 25 years of senior finance management experience in technology and not-for-profit organizations. Gordon has B.A. from Carlton University and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta. His early career began as a high-school history teacher for more than a decade in both Alberta and British Columbia. He was Controller at Power Properties and VP of Finance and Administration at Kestrel Data (Canada) Ltd. Prior to joining TECTERRA, Gordon was the Business and Finance Manager for the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter.
Richard Gorecki, Director of Portfolio Development
Mr. Richard Gorecki, M.Sc., joined TECTERRA in 2010 as Director of Commercialization with the task of leading the establishment, execution and management of TECTERRA’s investment and business support programs. In 2011 he became the Director of Portfolio Development where he provides direction and leadership in the recruiting and securing of well qualified SMEs and entrepreneurs for TECTERRA Programs. Mr. Gorecki has over 23 years of experience in the Canadian geomatics industry, with over 13 years working at a management level. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physical Geography (Earth Science) from the University of Calgary.
