TECTERRA is a not-for-profit Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) established to create economic value by enabling the commercialization of geomatics technology across Canada. The first Centre of its kind in the world, TECTERRA will work with entrepreneurs, researchers, and government and industry partners to use geomatics technologies to address global challenges in resource management.

TECTERRA was created to be a world leader in providing integrated resources management technology solutions that contribute added value to energy, forestry, agriculture, environment, and land management and development.

TECTERRA is governed by an independent Board of Directors. Board members represent key industry sectors associated with TECTERRA. The Board of Directors works with the Centre's Chief Executive officer, Scientific Director, and Centre management team to guide the direction of the organization.
